Za’atar is one of the most unusual but popular spices in the Middle East. It gives a delicate flavor to meat, or can be a bright note in fish and poultry dishes. Za’atar has a unique bright taste and many useful properties. The seasoning is also used to sprinkle flatbread, fried vegetables, and dishes like hummus or tzatziki.
