Fleur de Sel (salt flower) is not industrially processed. It is dried in the sun and hand-cleaned. It is unrefined and uncrushed. Fleur de sel is made by collecting a thin layer of salt that rises to the surface of shallow seawater pools. Because of its delicate taste and a higher price compared to other salts, fleur de sel is not used as a seasoning for a dish during its preparation. This salt has an exceptional taste and is able to give dishes a particularly delicate and gourmet taste. But if you expose it to high temperatures, it will melt and lose its unique shape and taste. Therefore, we recommend sprinkling Fleur de sel salt on your dishes just before serving.
