Bay Leaf

Ground bay leaf is often used to make sauces and is added when they have cooled to lukewarm. It gives a special, incomparable aroma and is a universal seasoning for many dishes. Use it to taste, but remember that if you use a lot of bay leaves, the dish can become tart and bitter.
